Hebrew Reading
Hebrew reading is an important part of a Jewish child’s daily life, both in school and beyond.
When a child cannot read Hebrew fluently or accurately, they may struggle with davening, Kodesh lessons and Hebrew-based texts. As children get older, the amount of Hebrew reading increases, and difficulties can become more noticeable.
For some children, so much effort goes into decoding the words that there is little energy left to understand what they are reading, especially when Hebrew is not their first language. This can affect learning, confidence and self-esteem.
